7,200 feet in the Zuni Mountains of western New
Mexico -- about two and a half hours west of
Albuquerque. They currently have six
residents, all male. 320 acres of semi-arid desert.
Consensus-based community that is currently
practicing income-sharing. They are powered
electrically by solar panels. Lunch and dinner
meals are prepared by stewards and visitors alike.
All meals are vegetarian, and include vegan
offerings as well. Gay-friendly.
EcoVersity

community learning center offering land-based
classes, workshops and certificate programs in all
aspects of sustainability and natural living.
EcoVersity is a destination for ever-increasing
number of people who come to network themselves
into the world of sustainability and ecological
pioneering, where life skills are taught in a
"hands-on" living classroom setting. Students and
practitioners converge to participate in an
on-going ecological wisdom exchange, cultivating an
ever-deepening alignment between human nature and
the living land. EcoVersity's demonstration campus
is open for visitors!

Ecovillage is located at 6000' elevation in the
foothills of the Sangre de Cristo Mountain, a 20
minute drive north of Santa Fe. Aspenwood is a
small, family-style, egalitarian community where
they share labor, resources and income, working
together on community projects and businesses,
sharing the fruits of their labors, and supporting
each other emotionally and financially. In
Aspenwood House (where full members and interns
live), they keep a vegetarian household, and share
most meals with each other.
